Half Way Home

Half Way Home
Finding no comfort here
Wishing to disappear
Bleeding the reason from truth obscure
Time becomes an evil dictator
Every minute enslaving, cultivating fear
Paralyzed in regret for seconds foolishly spent
Reaching the half way mark
Unprepared to join the ark
Unwilling to willfully live in the dark
Trading soul parts for wisdom’s heart
Ever closer to the start of my relentless pursuit of pain
For a life rehearsed to no longer remain
an oasis of illusion for the fallacy of gain
Believe in something cries the nation of the insane
Believe in nothing says the nation of the sane
Everyone looking for someone else to take the blame
There is yet hope for those who refrain from
reaping the whirlwind that created the stain
