Declaration
I’m a lover, not a fighter
a poet, not a politician…
Priest to no one,
yet my own confessions float to the constellations
like poison from my wonderful and deceitful heart

Priest to no one,

As the time of our choosing an American President comes to a head, I never have believed more in the process of Democracy. At the same time I have never questioned it’s many forms as much as now. It has disturbed me to see displays of bigotry and prejudice from all sides. I wonder if Unity is possible?
I do believe that while extremist on both the left and right may never agree, the majority can agree on most things. Sadly, those in the middle are ostracized the most.I believe the majority of us believe that abortion should be legal and rare. These procedures decrease under democratic leadership. The economy affects people most in their decision making. The majority of us believe that we are only doing as well as the least among us. Therefore, we should make health care available to all. For example if an airborne disease is allowed to become multi-drug resistant to antibiotics because there is no health care available to an individual…isn’t that bad for everyone who breathes the same air?
I believe we can all agree, that we are less safe as a Nation because of our Government lying about going to War than we were before. I believe that there is only one candidate left standing that can protect our National interest while protecting Civil Liberties and the constitution. Personally, I will do my best to support the next President no matter who it is…I just want Accountability, Transparency, and Unity. We can agree it doesn’t much matter if it’s big or small government… what matters is whether it’s good government. I believe the candidate that believes this too is Barack Obama. I only hope he doesn’t turn out to be a liar like Bush! Yes We Can!
