I am
I am not all that I shall become
I am not the one
I am not the son
I am all that I have become
I and I
my only son
brother of many
servants to none
here on earth
heaven rains brimstone
till I am only that I am
I and I
are one
I am not all that I shall become
I am not the one
I am not the son
I am all that I have become
I and I
my only son
brother of many
servants to none
here on earth
heaven rains brimstone
till I am only that I am
I and I
are one
When I was a child in the late seventies, Winter and Spring break was a time of staying home with my mother and helping her in her home daycare. Most of our relatives lived close, so we rarely traveled.
The weather was usually mild and tranquil. My cousins from Los Angeles would often visit for Christmas and we would “act out” elaborate plays and perform them for our families. I would look forward to this activity all year. When we weren’t doing that, we made movie scripts and played store, post office, or whatever else came to mind.
Other times, when I wasn’t feeling as creative; I would nag my mom and complain that I was bored. I had not learned to occupy my brain yet. I can remember my mother saying,” Go outside and take your “busy bug” with you.
Now that I have three youngsters of my own, we often find ourselves “killing time” during school breaks by making movies.
Our genre is definitely tongue in cheek and participation is often done in lieu of added chores or lost bets! We made all of our movies for free. Down loaded Windows programs with one-month trial versions.
